Qlibri GmbH is a spin-off from LMU Munich in Germany, supported by the Chair of Nobel laureate Prof. Theodor Hänsch. Qlibri’s systems enable researchers and developers to push the boundaries of quantum information technology and absorption microscopy with unprecedented sensitivity.
More info
At the heart of it lies an optical micro-resonator formed by a highly reflective mirror on the end facet of an optical fiber (thinner than a human hair) and a planar mirror, between which, light bounces back and forth up to 100,000 times. The micro-resonator offers flexible operation with subatomic stability in atmospheric and cryogenic conditions, which are necessary prerequisites for quantum key distribution, quantum repeater and quantum computing applications. The resonator's operability as a microscope enables real-time imaging and absorption spectral characterization of isolated nanostructures, providing significantly more information compared to current fluorescence-based techniques for R&D and quality control.
