Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and Organic solar cells (OSCs) have seen enormous development recently. Tandem photovoltaics is a constructive way to overcome the Shockley-Quesisser (SQ) limit and thermalization losses to elevate the photovoltaic performance. PSCs and OSCs both have advantage of simple and cost-effective solution-processed fabrication which makes them an ideal candidate for tandem solar cells. OSCs are promising low-bandgap bottom cells compared to Sn based low-bandgap PSCs. We have proposed an acetamidinium-substituted methylammonium lead iodide as top wide-bandgap PSC which improves the photovoltaic performance in comparison to methylammonium lead iodide perovskite absorber and PM6:Y6 based bottom low-bandgap OSC for perovskite/organic tandem photovoltaics.
