Double perovskites have a general formula of AB’B”X6 (A=Cs+ or Rb+; B’=Na+, Cu+ or Ag+; B”=Bi3+, Sb3+, Ga3+ or In3+ and X=Cl-, Br- or I-). These type of materials have shown good optoelectronic properties as well as better structural stability. Single halide double perovskites can be synthesized using HCl or HBr or HI. The double perovskites with different halogens are mixed in solvent like DMSO. The mixture is added to antisolvent like chlorobenzene drop by drop to form mixed halide double perovskites. All the processes have been done under ambient condition. Easy processability has also made double perovskites interesting for optoelectronic applications.
