Cadmium Telluride/Cadmium sulfide (CdTe/CdS) solar cell is one of most studied thin film solar cells and its efficiency has reached 22.1%. In order to further increase its efficiency, a better understanding on how the efficiency depends on different parameters of each layer is needed. In this presentation, we show our studies on how the efficiency, open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current and fill factor of CdTe/CdS solar cells depend on the thickness and doping level of each layer using the wxAPS software. We will also compare our results with those from other simulation software in the literature.
