Proceedings of International Conference on Hybrid and Organic Photovoltaics (HOPV16)
Publication date: 28th March 2016
The lecture will focus on our latest research findings working on hybrid lead based perovskite. We have employed photo-induced time resolved transient spectroscopy including: PIT-PV ( photo-induced transient photovoltage), PIT-PC ( photo-induced transient photo-current) , PICE ( photo-induced charge extraction) and PIDC ( photo-induced differential charging). We have observed different non-radiative carrier recombination kinetics depending on the presence or not of the mesoporous TiO2 layer, the use of organic n-type selective contacts, the fabrication of the perovskite etc...in solar cells with efficiencies overpassing 12%-with Voc at 1 sun close to 1V. Furthermore, during the presentation I will demonstrate a clear correlation between the carrier accumulation ( device charge density), the carrier recombination lifetime and different selective contacts. Finally, an hypothesis based on the results mentioned above will be presented about the generation of the photovoltage on this new type of hybrid solar cells based on the difference of quasi Fermi energy levels present at the different selective contact of the perovskite solar cells.
